Breaking News:

  • Starting in January 2026, the BCA has a new Vice President: Jessica Nalls

East Winds Resort Proposal Update:

  • Paris Mountain Alliance has been formed.
  • The fight to keep the rural landscape is ongoing.
  • A press release will go out tomorrow.

Treasurer’s Report:

  • Currently working on end-of-year report.  Will be completed by the end of the year and sent out at that time.
  • Everything looks to be in good shape.

Bluemont Fair 2025 News:

  • We are still looking for a volunteer to be in charge of the 50/50 raffle for next year’s fair.

Bluemont Heritage:

  • Had a meeting at the Bluemont vineyard and elected the following officers:
    • Bill Bogard, President
    • John Sullivan, Vice President
    • Dave Ewald, Treasurer

Neighbors Helping Neighbors:

  • We have the Thanksgiving gift certificates.
  • Seven families have been helped.
  • Cost came to over $800

Bluemont Community Center:

  • On December 5 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Santa will be on the caboose – a fun time for kids and families.
  • A Winter Gear Swap will take place on January 9 at the Community Center.  More details to follow in January.

 Snickersville Turnpike Association (STA):

  • No report

Village Light Poles:

  • The discussion on how to move forward continued and, as a next step, there will be additional research about motion sensor street lights.

Recap of TWA Ceremony:

  • Ceremony began at 11:10 a.m. with church bell ringing.  Lasted 13 minutes.
  • Had three speakers that read the names of the crash victims.
  • A closing prayer was given, followed by Taps.
  • One family member attended, as well as four fire fighters who were involved with the rescue.
  • Tyler Steele filmed the ceremony and the film will be available on the BCA website.
  • A press release will follow.
