Treasurer’s Report:
- The group was updated with the latest expenses.
- The breakdown of expenses and investments was discussed.
- There was a question regarding an unknown address on Snickersville. Peter will check into this.
Bluemont Fair 2026 News:
- Next Tuesday is the first meeting for Fair Chairs.
- At the meeting, the committee will discuss and pick a theme.
- There is still an opening for the 50/50 Raffle Chair.
Bluemont Heritage:
- An organizational meeting took place last week.
- Discussion focused on reviewing and amending the by laws.
- The group is looking at projects for 2026.
- BH will feature a Bluemont History Corner in appropriate Bluemont publications (in honor of the 250 anniversary of the U.S.).
Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
- No update this month.
Bluemont Community Center:
- Registration for spring programs begins tomorrow.
- There will be family line dancing on February 20 at 6:30 p.m. Registration required.
Snickersville Turnpike Association (STA):
- No report
East Wind Resort Update:
- Twenty organizations have joined together and are opposed to the Paris Mountain Complex.
- Money has been raised to go to lawyers, hydrologists, and soil experts.
- The resort is a threat to the mountain.
- Zest magazine has an article about the East Winds resort in this month’s issue.

- June 6: Loudoun Appalachian Trail Festival In Hillsboro
- 19-20: The Bluemont Fair
- October 3: Snickersville Academy celebration
New Business:
- Idea for further discussion: A Spring Fling Rummage Sale as a fundraiser for Snickersville Academy. Paricipants could pay a suggested fee of $50 that would go directly to support the Academy. Suggested the sale could be a Saturday event.
- Super Bowl Contest: Guess the winning team and final score and win $100. In an e-mail’s subject line, specify the team and final score. Send to bluemontvillage@aol.com.
