Community Plaque Dedication
On Sunday, October 25, 2020, two plaques were hung in the E. E. Lake Store honoring all those who have served Bluemont in a leadership position. There have been Bluemont Fair Chairs every year since 1970 and Presidents of the Bluemont Citizens Association every year since 1955!
Before the advent of the Village Clerk (Lisa Seeberger) and a Bluemont Heritage Archivist (Kevin Hart), village records and artifacts were tossed haphazardly into boxes and dusty files and forgotten. Now Bluemont’s history is being carefully filed or digitized, and artifacts are preserved for later generations.
